Author Biography

  • Louise A. Hitchcock, UCLA
    Louise Hitchcock received her PhD in Art History from UCLA in 1998, and is now a Research Associate of the Institute of Archaeology at UCLA and a Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Her research interests are in Aegean architecture, archaeological theory, and gender. She has excavated in California, Syria and Crete, and she is undertaking a project to investigate Aegean influences on Cypriot architecture. She is the co-author of 'Aegean Art and Architecture' with Donald Preziosi, as well as several articles on Monoan architecture and gender.
