In order to promote the smart grid deployment, it is necessary that electric consumers not only easily accept the smart grid products and services but also use it continuously. The active consumer participation is necessary to achieve the full potential of smart grid technologies and their associated benefits. In this study, we have investigated the factors which affect consumers' continuance usage based on Expected Confirmation Model, and verified the relationship between factors statistically. According to the empirical results, we find that the relationship between confirmation, perceived usefulness, satisfaction, continuance intention is statistically significant. And we also find that it is effective to emphasize the electricity saving and power supply reliability in order to encourage smart grid consumers' continuance usage. Therefore it is necessary that we pay attention to the benefit of electricity saving and power supply reliability in smart grid consumer education and public relations. Furthermore it would be important that government makes an effort to make consumers experience or understand the actual benefit of smart grids. This study is significant in terms of an initial analysis on the continual usage of smart grids with the survey data of domestic smart grid users.
