중국 조선민족무용의 역사는 한 세기를 넘어 다시 반세기가 지나가고 있다. 중국내의 소수민족으로 그리고 한반도의 남한과 북한과는 같은 한민족의 뿌리를 갖고 있지만 이와는 또 다른 문화적 특성을 만들어 가야 하는 중국의 조선민족 무용가들에게 지나온 세기의 무용역사는 새로운 무용문화를 만들어가기 위해 반드시 필요한 일이다. 본 연구는 중국 조선민족무용의 공연사적 변모양상에 대해 논하였다. 중국의 정치·사회·경제적 동향을 중심으로 중국 조선민족무용의 공연연보를 다섯 시기로 구분하였다. 중국 근대사에서 중요한 사건들은 시기구분의 중요한 기준점이 되었다. 중화인민공화국의 건국, 문화대혁명, 개혁개방 정책은 정치·경제·사회 전반에 걸쳐 중국을 대대적으로 변화시켰다. 중화인민공화국의 건국이전, 건국 이후의 문화혁명이전까지, 10여 년간의 문화혁명기, 개혁개방 초 10년, 개혁개방 이후 현재까지로 시기를 구분하여 무용공연의 흐름을 살펴본 결과 중국 조선민족무용이 정착기, 침체기, 성장기, 전환기로 단계적 발전을 이루며 새롭게 변모되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 중국 조선민족무용은 지금까지 전승과 발전이라는 과제를 갖고 존속해 왔다. 이주초기 척박한 땅을 개간했던 개척정신을 바탕으로 민족과 체제의 융합을 끊임없이 시도하며 중국 조선민족무용의 예술적 발전을 지속해 나가게 될 것이라 기대한다.
This study has examined the development of Korean minority dances in China in the aspect of performance history so far. The foundation of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Cultural Revolution and the Reforms and Open door policy have drawn drastic changes in politics, economies and societies around the China. The development of the performances has been studied in this paper accordingly with the 5 divided periods including the period prior to the foundation of the People's Republic of China, since the foundation till the Cultural Revolution, the 10 years of the revolution, the early 10 years of the reforms and open door policy and till present since the reform and open door policy. The trends in the 5 periods showed the changing aspect of development in Korean minority dance. Korean minority dance in its history of performance has experienced 4 developing stages in large including establishment, depression, growth and transition period. Korean minority dance has subsisted till now making transmission and development as its assignment. It is not sure in what shapes Korean minority dance will remain as it has developed its own characters distinguished from the cultures in the Korean peninsula by adapting itself to Chinese culture and society on the soil of Korean national culture.
