본 연구는 은율탈춤 학습을 통한 초등학생의 전통문화와 전통무용 인식 변화를 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 인천광역시 소재 A초등학교 5학년 50명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용한 사전 검사를 한 후 실험집단은 은율탈춤 학습을, 비교집단은 댄스스포츠 학습을 2010년 3월부터 5월까지 1차시에 40분씩 총 12회 실시하였으며, 사전 검사와 똑같은 설문지로 사후검사를 통하여 전통문화와 전통무용 인식 변화를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 은율탈춤 학습이 초등학생의 전통문화와 전통무용 인식 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate change of recognition about traditional culture and dance on students in elementary school through Unyul Mask Dance. The data was collected from 50 male and female 5th-graders at A Elementary School in Incheon Metropolitan City and conducted a pretest and posttest using a questionnaire. The experimental group were taught Unyul Mask Dance, the comparative group were taught Dancesports from March to May, 2010, 1-2 sessions per week and a total of 12 sessions, and 40 minutes per session. According to the results, recognition of traditional culture and dance of Unyul Mask Dance had been changed.
