The purpose of this investigation was (a) to determine the patterns of literature related to school-aged adapted physical education pedagogy; and (b) to determine whether or not adapted physical education pedagogy has emerged as a field of study with the use of bibliometrics analyses (i.e., Bradford’s and Price’s Laws) to school-aged adapted physical education pedagogy literature during the 11-year period time between1999 and 2009. Based on the results, the literature conformed to Bradford’s Law and three major journals were identified in the field of adapted physical education: Journal of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance;Teaching Elementary Physical Education; and Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly. However, the findings did not support Priceùs Law. As reported by O’Conner et al. more than a decade ago, adapted physical education pedagogy is still an “emerging” field of study and professionals in the field need to contribute more to the literature. It was concluded that there is a need to develop an increased number of adapted physical education professors who are contributors to the literature.

Journal of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; Teaching Elementary Physical Education; and Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly가 확인 되었다.
