Abstract:
Piper aduncum is a medicinal species with validated antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities. Explants harvested from plantlets, originating from seeds germinated in vitro, under dark conditions, were cultured on MS medium supplemented with 1 mg/L BAP and 1 mg/L NAA for callus production. Phytomass accumulation was achieved after 21 days of culture and dihydrochalcone was produced in P. aduncum cells only at the start and at the final at ages cultures
