Abstract

Developing an ontology representing social processes within a complex social setting requires a rigorous approach to concept formulation. This is needed to interpret and conceptualise the terminology, to identify the influence of skills and perspectives of actors within the social processes, and to determine how a common shared ontology can be generated from the terminology and actor interactions. A rigorous concept formulation method is presented in this paper and has been applied to dialogue and documents that have been derived from a case study on community tourism event management.
