Multiple intravenous injections of 7, 12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene in the rat induced a sustained reduction of immunocompetent cells in the spleen, while single injection caused a temporary reduction. From these results, it is possible that multiple injections play a rôle in leukemogenesis with multiple intravenous doses of this compounds.
