이 연구는 초등학교 5~6학년 학생 대상의 이야기 자료를 활용한 발명교육 프로그램을 개발하고 개발한 프로그램이 초등학생의 발명태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 수행하였다. 2009 개정교육과정 5~6학년 과학, 실과, 사회, 미술 교과를 대상으로 교과 내 발명이야기 내용이 반영된 단원들을 추출하고, 추출된 단원의 학습목표와 내용을 바탕으로 교과와 연계한 이야기 자료를 활용 발명교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발한 프로그램이 초등학생의 발명태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 경기도 소재의 G 초등학교 5학년 2개 학급을 대상으로 임형규(2012)가 개발한 발명태도 검사지를 사용해 검사를 실시하였으며, 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
이야기 자료를 활용한 발명교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 발명태도 향상에 통계적으로 유의미한 효과가 있었으며(p<0.05), 하위요인 별로는 관심적 태도와 정서적 태도에서도 통계적으로 유의미한 효과가 있었음을 확인 할 수 있었다(p<0.05). 이 연구에서 개발한 이야기 자료를 활용한 발명교육 프로그램은 발명교육 분야에서 좀 더 다양한 교수학습방법의 가능성을 제시해주었으며 이를 통해 발명교육의 효율성을 높이는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
In this study, the invention education programs using interesting stories for 4th and 5th grade elementary students were developed. The topics of the invention education program were selected from the science education, society education and art education. 5 periods of invention programs were developed using the selected interesting stories. In order to investigate the effect of the developed invention education program using interesting stories on the attitude to the invention was investigated using the survey. 2 classes of G elementary school located in Gyeonggi-do were selected as an experimental group and a control group. The results of this research are as follows. It was found that the developed invention education program using interesting stories has a positive effect on the attitude to the invention for 4th and 5th grade elementary students(p<0.05). Specifically, the invention education program has a meaningful effect on two categories of the attitude to the invention such as attention attitude, emotional attitude. The invention education program using interesting stories can bring the diversity of teaching methods in elementary education invention, increase the efficiency of the invention education and has a positive effect on the attitude to the invention for the students.
