Looking Awry at the Notion of Core Competences in Visual Art Education

This article considers the idea of core competences in art education in the light of distributions and reconfigurations of practice in the field of contemporary art. How do such reconfigurations impact upon how “core competences” of skills and knowledge are conceived in school art education? The article provides a philosophical perspective on learning and practice that is not manacled to specific competences but rather remains open and responsive to new and emerging practices and the impact that they may generate for learning.

이 글은 예술 교육에서 말하는 핵심 역량의 개념을 현대 예술 분야의 재분배와 재구성의 시각에서 다루고 있다. 어떻게 이러한 재구성이 학교 예술 교육 분야에서 기술과 지식의 “핵심 역량”에 영향을 끼쳤는가? 이 글은 학습과 실제에 관한 철학적인 관점을 제시하고 이 관점은 특정한 역량에 한정되어 있다기보다는 새롭게 출현하는 실제와 그것이 학습에 끼칠 영향에 대해 개방적이고 호응적이라고 할 수 있겠다.
