Abstract

Testdiagnostische Verfahren der ICD-11
The introduction of the new ICD-11 diagnostic system for personality disorders represents a significant shift from the traditional diagnostic approach. This new system is expected not only to overcome the well-known limitations of the existing categorial approach, but also to improve its clinical utility, especially with regards to indication and treatment planning. This article aims to provide an overview of the currently available German measures, which assess impairments in personality functioning as well as personality traits, based both on ICD-11 and the alternative DSM-5 model. Finally, limitations and needs for further developments with regard to clinical applicability will be discussed.
