선재 압연 간 레이저 다이오드와 CCD 센서를 이용한 롤 갭 측정

Abstract/초록/요약

The gap of rolling rolls in wire rod mill processing is a significant factor that determines the diameter of wire rods. High accuracy and precision gap setting of roll gaps must be maintained even after replacing rolls for high quality production. Therefore, quantitative data of roll gap not depending on the experience of workers is required. The purpose of this study is to develop a rolling roll gap automatic measuring device with high accuracy using laser diodes and CCD sensors in roll replacement stand by locations. The measuring device of this study is composed of a light emitting part, optic acquisition part, signal processing part, and display part. For the measuring method, light radiated from the laser diode is received directly from the CCD sensor in which the gap is calculated based on the distance measuring algorithm. By finding the optimum threshold voltage, correction of actual distance and measured distance was performed. Laser diode with parallel beam form was used in this device and a linear image CCD sensor with 10,680 pixels by R, G, B colors with 4 µm unit pixels were used. The total measurement error was ±15 µm. Noise solution that can receive less influence from disturbance as much as light is used was conducted. Beam form laser was slimly improved to solve diffused reflection to minimize the influence of measured objects. Also, a shape measuring algorithm was developed to grasp the abraded roll shape in one glance. Through record management of the rolling roll, information on roll abrasion and distance can be seen at any time. Shape of 5mm can be measured per second in perpendicular direction to have measurement time of approximately 20 seconds. This study helps shorten roll replacement time of works through a non-contact optical measuring method. Also, it is expected to contribute high quality and production of wire rods through gap adjustment with high accuracy.
