본 연구는 합의적 질적 연구방법(Consensual Qualitative Research)을 활용하여 해외전공봉사학습에 참여한 대학생들의개인적이고 독특한 경험들을 깊이 있게 탐색하였다. 연구 대상은 최근 3년 이내에 해외전공봉사학습을 경험한 대학생16명이며, 이들을 대상으로 반 구조화된 질문을 활용한 인터뷰를 통하여 자료를 수집하고, 수집된 자료는 합의적질적 연구방법(Consensual Qualitative Research: CQR)을 사용하여 분석하였다. 자료 분석 결과 6개의 영역과 18개의범주가 도출 되었으며 도출된 6개의 영역은 전공학습의 확대, 진로성숙, 타문화 경험, 봉사경험, 개인 심리적 변화경험, 대인관계 경험 이다. 영역별 범주로서 전공학습의 확대에서는 전공에 대한 이해, 전공 적용, 전공 학습에 대한동기 강화로 나타났으며, 진로성숙의 영역은 진로에 대한 자기 평가, 진로에 대한 이해 확장, 진로 준비의 구체화로나타났다. 타문화 경험의 영역에서는 타문화에 대한 인식 변화, 타문화에 대한 수용성 증가이며 봉사경험영역에서는봉사에 대한 인식변화, 봉사 방법에 대한 관점의 확대, 봉사 또는 봉사의 지속성에 대한 동기강화로 나타났다. 개인심리적 변화경험에는 자기이해 및 발견 경험, 자기 개념 및 삶의 태도 변화, 자기 내적 역량 강화로 나타났고 대인관계경험에서는 팀워크 경험, 롤 모델 경험, 사회적 책임의식, 타인에 대한 태도 변화가 있었다. 끝으로 본 연구 결과에대한 논의와 연구의 제한점 및 후속연구에 대한 제안을 기술하였다.
This study is a qualitative study that aims to look into the experience of Christian students’ overseas service learning in depth. The participants of this study are 16 Christian college students who participated in overseas service learning for recent three years. The data was collected through a semi-structured interview and the collected data was analyzed by Consensual Qualitative Research : CQR). The study results reveal 7 areas and 21 domains of their experiences. The 7 areas include growth in faith, interpersonal relationships, expended understanding of major, mature in major, cross-cultural experience, volunteer experience, psychological changes. The domains of expanded understanding of major include self evaluation on major, expanded understanding of major, preparation of career development. In the area of cross-cultural experience, there are the domains of changed concepts of crossculture, expanded view of social services, increased acceptance of cross cultures. In the area of service experiences, there are changed views of service, expanded views of service methods, increased motivation for service. In the area of one’s psychological changes, there are the domains of increased self understanding, changed self concept and attitude, improved inner strength. In the area of interpersonal relationships, there are the domains of team work experience, finding role models, social responsibility and increased inner strength. In the area of Christianity, there are the domains of changed view of God concept, spiritual growth, new vision of overseas ministry. In terms of the frequency, 4 domains were general, 13 domains were typical, 4 domais were atypical. In addition, limitations of the study and suggestions for the future study was discussed.
