초록

본 연구는 폐경과 비만 여부에 따라 ghrelin, adiponectin이 어떠한 차이를 나타내며, 이들 호르몬이 유산소능력과 신체조성 지표들과 어떠한 관련이 있는지를 규명하기 위한 것이다. 피험자는 모두 여성으로 BMI 30 kg/m2 이상 또는 체지방율 25%를 기준으로 비 비만과 비만 집단으로, 그리고 폐경 여부에 따라 폐경전, 폐경 집단으로 구분하였다. G1은 폐경전-비 비만(44.1±5.6 yrs, n=10,), G2는 폐경전의 비만(42.5±7.8 yrs, n=10), G3은 폐경-비 비만(51.4±4.8 yrs, n=17), G4는 폐경-비만(54.0±3.6, n=18)으로 구성하였다. 유산소능력의 평가를 위하여 VO2max를 산출하였고 신체조성지표(body composition index)의 평가를 위하여 체중, BMI, %BF, WC, WHR를 측정, 산출하였다. 비만과 폐경 여부에 따라 각각 VO2max, ghrelin, adiponectin의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 independent t-test를 사용하였다. 집단간의 VO2max, ghrelin, adiponectin 차이를 비교하기 위하여 Two-Way ANOVA를 사용하였으며, 모든 피험자 신체조성지표와 유산소능력 그리고 ghrelin과 adiponectin간의 관련성을 분석하기 위하여 pearson's correlation을 산출하였다. 비만 여부에 따라서 adiponectin은 유의한 차이가 나타났으며(F=2.4, Sig=.03, p<.05), 폐경 여부에 따른 차이는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. VO2max G2와 G3 간에 유의한 차이가 나타났으며(f=2.95, Sig=.041, p<.05), ghrelin과 adiponectin의 그룹간의 차이는 유의하지 않았다. ghrelin은 유산소능력과 유의한 상관관계를(r=.315, Sig=.019, p<.05) 그리고 adiponectin은 BMI(r=-.414, Sig=.002, p<.01), 체중(r=-.317, r=.019, p<.05), 체지방율(r=-.361, Sig=.007. p<.01), WC(r=-.358, Sig=.007, p<.01), WHR(r=.423, Sig=.001, p<.01)와 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다. 이러한 연구결과가 의미하는 것은 폐경을 한 경우 신체조성의 지표들을 모니터링 함으로써 심혈관 질환의 위험요인인 adiponectin을 관리할 수 있을 것이며, 폐경 여부와 관계없이 비만 여성의 경우는 유산소능력을 향상시키는 운동을 실시함으로써 심혈관질환의 위험도를 낮출 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
