본 연구의 목적은 Ryan과 Deci(2002)의 기본심리욕구 이론에 근거하여 학교 맥락에서 대학생의 기본심리욕구 충족을 평가할 수 있는 대학생용 학교기본심리욕구척도(CSBPNSS: College Students' Basic Psychological Needs at School Scale)를 구축하는 것이다. 본 연구는 두 개의 큰 틀로 나누어 진행하였다. Ryan과 Deci(2002)의 일반적 기본심리욕구척도와 Tian, Han & Huebner (2014)가 중국 중등 학생을 대상으로 타당화한 ASBPNSS(the Adolescent Students’ Basic Psychological Needs at School Scale)을 기반으로, 자율성, 유능성, 관계성의 3개 하위 요인으로 구성된 총 15 문항을 구축하여, 전문가 패널의 검토 절차를 거쳐 예비척도의 내용타당도를 검증 하였다. 일차적으로 구축한 예비척도를 대학생 200명을 대상으로 실시하여 문항 분석을 수행하였다. 그리고 타당화를 위해 국내 대학생 750명을 대상으로 본 검사를 실시하여, 수집된 자료에 대한 탐색적 및 확인적 요인분석을 수행하였으며, 척도의 신뢰도 및 요인 구조의 타당도를 확인하였다. 다음으로 학교기본심리욕구 척도의 준거 타당도를 알아보기 위해 이와 관련된 변인들인 대학생활 적응, 심리적 안녕감 및 주관적안녕감 간의 상관분석을 통해 타당화 근거를 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 타당화한 CSBPNSS의 개발이 학교기본심리욕구와 관련한 추후 연구와 교육실제에 던지는 시사점을 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study was to develop and to validate CSBPNSS(College Students' Basic Psychological Needs at School Scale). Based on Deci & Ryan(2002), Tian, Han & Huebner(2014), 15 items consisting with 3 sub-factors, autonomy, relationship, competence of CSBPNSS were constructed, and executed to college students of a total 711 from 4 different universities in Korea. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 22 program. Item correlations, reliabilities for sub-factors, confirmatory factor analysis for factor structure model fit test, and criterion-related validations were performed. The results showed that the model fit indexes of TLI, CFI, RMSEA, and χ² value were satisfied with the criteria for factor structure model fit in this study. And the correlations among psychological well-being, student adaptation to college, subjective wellbeing, and CSBPNSS showed the criterion related validity. The implications for future study were suggested.
