Purpose: This study aimed to define and clarify the concept of alcoholics recovery. Methods: This study employed Hybrid model, which is composed of three phase: theoretical phase, fieldwork phase, and analysis phase. In the fieldwork stage, data were collected from interviews of 13 alcoholics’ recovery experience. Results: Concept of recovery of alcoholics was identified as three dimensions: individual·psycological, social relationl, and spiritual. In the individual·psycological dimension, creation of positive self concept, Have hope and aspiration for his/her life, and be confident. In the Social relationl dimension, accept and understand others and active participation activities, and creating new close relation. In the spiritual dimension, knowing mean and purpose of life, the attributes were rely on Almighty, appreciating one’s life and pursuing the meaning of existence. Conclusion: This concept analysis could be used as preliminary data to meet the nursing needs on the alcoholism intervention.
