Abstract
The structural index of coals δ, which characterizes the degree of unsaturation of organic matter, was used for predicting the degrees of conversion of brown and black coals from the promising deposits of Mongolia in the process of hydrogenation. The results of experimental studies on the hydrogenation of the most suitable coals chosen on this basis (from the Talbulag and Bayanteg deposits) for the manufacture of liquid products are given.
