Features of the Formation of the Structure and Properties of Powder Materials

  • Published:
Steel in Translation Aims and scope

Abstract

The sintering process, which mainly determines the formation of the structure and properties of the material, is considered. The essence of the sintering process and its stages are considered. The formation and growth of interparticle contacts during sintering due to the mass transfer of the substance is shown, which becomes possible due to the high mobility of atoms during heating. The mechanism of spheroidization of pores and particles is considered.
