초록

The installation of wind turbines has been steadily increasing and power system stability is more important. Generic electrical simulation models of wind power generation have been developed as standards for power system stability studies. The International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC) has defined a generic model to decrease the simulation time for power system analysis. Type 3 model is a more difficult model compared with other types because the stator is connected to the grid and includes a mechanical model, blade aerodynamics and pitch control. In this paper, four different types of wind turbines are described and a detailed model of a Type 3 wind turbine is analyzed. A simulation model for the Type 3 Generator based on IEC 61400-27-1 is implemented with Matlab / Simulink. In the under-voltage of the grid, the transient stability of the Type 3 model is determined by reactive power control and active power control strategies. The results of simulations are presented for validation of the simulation model.
