초록

The power production of wind turbines varies based on atmospheric factors, which are external environmental conditions. To present a universal correlation between wind turbine power and external conditions affecting power, the effect of atmospheric stability and turbulent kinetic energy (TKE) on the power performance and annual energy production (AEP) of wind turbines was analyzed. This study was conducted at the Dongbok-Bukchon wind farm (DBWF). Power curves calculated for each atmospheric factor regime revealed that TKE (190 kW–9m/s) exhibited the greatest difference, followed by atmospheric stability (241 kW–11 m/s). The AEP with the change in regime indicated variability of about 1.2 ∼ 4.8% at the study site. Understanding the detailed power performance of wind turbines depending on the regimes of atmospheric factors improves the quality of analysis, enabling more accurate power prediction. The improved power prediction method reduces errors in the AEP calculation process. Finally, it is expected to contribute to the financial certainty of the wind industry.
