초록

The use of renewable energy sources for power generation has been steadily increasing. In particular, power generated by wind energy accounts for the second highest share of power generation. However, owing to variability in power generation, which is a characteristic of renewable energy, the power quality of the latter is deteriorating. Additionally, serious issues such as blackouts are emerging. On the island of Jeju, in particular, it is important to ensure stable power generation owing to its relatively small-scale power system, which has a circular structure. To solve this problem, it is necessary to accurately evaluate the influence of wind farms on power systems. To this end, each wind farm simulator and power system simulator must be precisely interlocked. In this study, we propose a system that can accurately evaluate the stability of a power system serving Jeju. This system is configured by interlocking a model-based wind farm simulator, which simulates the Dongbok-Bukchon wind farms on Jeju, and an RTDS that simulates the entire Jeju power system. Voltage and frequency fluctuations are also evaluated using this system.
