본 연구는 지리산 둘레길 지역주민의 둘레길 관련 수익활동 참여 여부에 따른 관광 영향 인식 차이를 파악하여 향후 수평적 산림휴양활동과 관련된 정책 조성 및 관리방안 수립의 참고 자료 제공을 위하여 수행되었다. 130명의지역주민을 대상으로 지리산 둘레길 개통이 해당 산촌지역에 미치는 영향에 대한 설문을 실시하고 분석한 결과, 총 35개의 인식측정 항목중에서 경제적 영향 4개 항목, 환경적 영향 1개 항목, 그리고 사회·문화적 영향 1개 항목에서 지역주민 집단간 인식차이가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로는, 경제적 영향에 대해서는 수익활동에 참여하는 지역주민들이 그렇지 않은 지역주민들보다 긍정적인 영향을 더욱 높게 인식하는 반면, 부정적인 환경적 영향과 긍정적인사회·문화적 영향에 대해서는 지역사회의 공통된 인식이 형성된 것으로 판단되었다.
This study was aimed to identify the difference of perceptions for impacts from Jirisan Trail to local society between local residents who attended tourism income activity or not. The result of this study will provide effective useful data for forest trail building and management strategy. The data were collected with a structured questionnaire by survey of local resident and 130 sample were analyzed. In all 35 items, the differences of perception were found in 4 items about economic impacts, 1 item about environmental impacts, and 1 item about social-cultural impacts. As a result, local residents who attended tourism income activity had more positive perception of economic impacts than that of local residents who didn’t. But, all the local residents had common sense about negative environmental impacts and positive social-cultural impacts.
