The present study examined the moderation effect of Adaptability of School Life in the relationship between Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Internet Overuse in high school students. A survey was collected from 441 high school students across 5 different schools located in Seoul, Gyonggi, Daejun areas using a Korean internet addiction self-diagnosis scale, self-identity scale, career decision-making self-efficacy scale, and adaptability of school life scale. In order to find the influence of Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Adaptability of School Life on Internet overuse, a hierarchical regression analysis was applied. As a result, Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy was found to be more efficacious than Adaptability of School Life. Also, the result showed that the relation between Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Internet Overuse was moderated by Adaptability of School Life. The study revealed the relation between Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Internet Overuse in high school students. Furthermore, the results suggested that an intervention strategy focusing an enhancing school adaptation can prevent Internet Overuse. Lastly, the implications and limitations of the research was discussed.
