Spontaneous recovery in the early period of cardiac remodeling due to carbon monoxide poisoning
Carbon monoxide (CO) can cause cardiac injuries, including transient left ventricular (LV) dysfunction, by causing hypoxia at the tissue level. In this case, we present a case that developed serious global LV dysfunction (ventricular remodeling) as a result of CO poisoning (COP) and recovered very early. Although we could not use any cardioprotective agents in the treatment of the patient without hyperbaric oxygen, we experienced that the LV functions completely recovered on the 7th day of hospitalization.
