Abstract

It was argred that “coaching psychology seems be the next step in the evolution of traditional psychotherapy”. The modern society of the 21st century has become a learning society that must respond to rapid change. While psychotherapy served its purpose in the 20th century, the learning society of the 21st century may demand shorter, more efficient, and more performance-oriented forms of development. Coaching psychology is one of the new techniques that incorporates learning and change processes. Personal construct psychology(PCP) is also a learning theory/change theory. In the PCP, “person” is a “scientific researcher” who understands, prophesies, and validates the hypothesis with constructive alternativeism to control life and the laws of the universe. As such, it was argued that Personal construct therapy(PCT) in PCP stood for a coaching psychology long before the term ‘coaching’ gained wider attention. In other words, PCT was the forerunner of a postmodern pychotherapy. Personal construct coaching(PCC) will be the evolution of PCT and the new star of PCP.
