Description

This XML scheme implements the Digital-SI (D-SI) data model for a machine-readable transmission of metrological data in digital applications. It provides a trustworthy and common understandable interface for the exchange of metrological data based on the SI (International System of Units). Furthermore, the XML data format is designed to supports metrological framework conditions for the communication of metrological data that are given by the International Vocabulary of Metrology (VIM), the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM) and CODATA listings of fundamental physical constants.

Notes

The development of the unified meta data format for the exchange of measurement data in ICT applications and its implementation using XML is part of the research project EMPIR 17IND02 (title: SmartCom). This project has received funding from the EMPIR programme co-financed by the Participating States and from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
