Authors: Bilyana Popova, Lora Hristozova Abstract: The article tells the story of an exhibit from the fund "Musical Instruments and Ritual Properties" of REM - Plovdiv. It is an extremely rare three-joint, turned kaval, made of cornel-tree, with three sleeves made of horn, with engraved belts and semi-concentric circles. It is inlaid with rich metal decoration. It was used at the end of the XIX century in the village of Chitak (now Byala Reka), Plovdiv region. It belonged to the kaval player Radyu Yordanov Enev, born in 1862. He participated in the first competition for kaval players, held on September 20, 1898 in Plovdiv with this kaval. Its introduction to the public is related to the exhibition "The Song of Wood", with which REM - Plovdiv has presented itself in a number of cities in the country and abroad, as well as during "Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture".
