Abstract

This paper presents theoretical and experimental results for the reflection characteristics of open metal strip arrays. In the analysis, the equivalent circuit model for an interdigital transducer is applied, and the expression of the reflection coefficient is derived in a closed form by the image parameter theory. In the investigations on the substrate of LiNbO3 (128° rot. Y, X-prop.), a good agreement between the calculated and experimental results is obtained.
