The present paper examines how local and national journalists cover self-help events on leadership topic in Romania. The study included an analysis on The Woman Leadership Conference local event from Romania and how journalists covered the topic in online newspapers. By analyzing 1139 articles from 30 media institutions, the paper shows that journalists from national media institutions are keener to include leadership topics into their agenda and to cover events on leadership, in comparison with local journalists.
