Hi,
I must confess my interest in meta-data is sullied by my
interest in practical applications. My specific
interest is in those applications which aid the formulation of
hyperlinks amongst scholarly works published by a variety
of organizations (including for-profit & not-for profit publishers
and individual web-authors).

For those interested in that topic I would like to suggest that
we make an effort to establish a small set of on-line documents
each which hyperlink directly amongst each other, from
publisher to publisher. The experiment would not include
any DOI meta-data resolution application  but would
give us some concrete, in-depth, real-world experience
with which to inform ourselves and doi.

I am willing to do some of the work for other organizations
provided they are in or near the STM publishing category,
just tell me where your documents can be found on the web
and I will study how they might be hyperlinked or further-
hyperlinked and summarize the results with respect to the
loosely established "minimum meta data".

list if you are interested in this informal effort to offer some
unsolicited guidance to doi organization.
